CALL FOR POSTERS
The aim of this workshop is to encourage and continue interdisciplinary discussion of social cognition. We welcome comparative psychologists, developmental psychologists, social neuroscientists, and psychologists working in clinical and applied domains, and challenge attendees to reflect on how their work relates to other academic and applied disciplines. Similar to last year's meeting, the broad themes of the workshop include "evolution", "development", “mechanisms”, and “applications”, drawing discussants from a range of disciplines including comparative biology, developmental psychology, social neuroscience and clinical psychology. To foster the richest discussion between all participants, attendance will be capped at 55 participants again this year.
KEYNOTE SPEAKERS
PRESENTATIONS
We invite applications for poster presentations on any of the above themes. A 200-word abstract should be submitted through the online submission form by the closing date of 1st May 2015 (NOTE: We are now completely full and will not be accepting new registrations from anyone who has not already submitted an abstract and been contacted about registration - if more places become available before 1 June, we will post an update here).
TRAVEL BURSARIES
Travel bursaries of up to £200 are available for the best poster presentations made by early-career researchers (PhD students and those within 5 years of receipt of PhD). Please indicate at the end of your abstract whether you would like to be considered for a travel bursary during the poster session. Please also note the change in policy with awarding travel bursaries - the organizing committee decided it would be fairer if early career researchers were assessed for these prizes based on the abstract AND poster presentation. Winners of the travel bursaries will be announced at the end of the final talk session of the workshop on Friday afternoon.
Notification of abstract acceptance: End of May 2015 (for submissions received by 15 May) or End of June 2015 (for submissions received between mid May and 1 June).
